Last week of Soccer
SO I froze my ass off last night!! This is my daughters last week of soccer for the season. Well Georgia had a cold snap roll through last night. It was 6:30 at night the thermometer in my truck said 43 degrees. I looked at my weather app on my phone...with the wind chill it felt like 25 degrees!! I dressed Keira like an eskimo as I did the same for myself! Halfway through practice Keira comes over to me taking her jacket off, telling me how hot she was. I told her to keep her jacket on I did not want her getting sick! But these are the moments you remember forever. Someday when Keira calls me complaining about the weather for her kids practices I am going to tell her about all the practices I sat outside and watched of hers. I will even show her this picture!!

I am a stay at home mom and proud of it
My days are not always the same. I wake at 5:15 Monday thru Friday. I get 3 of my 4 kids ready for school and I send my husband off to work. I clean, I wash, I cook, I fold, I polish, I vacuum, I potty train, I feed, I menu plan, I coupon, I pick up kids, I drop off kids, I go to soccer, I walk, I shower and after I clean up after everyone while they are sleeping I fall into bed, read and sleep. Everyday just like that. A child may stay home from school and it throws my schedule off. I believe I have OCD because everything has to be just so. It is a very tiring job but someone has to do it!!
Two of my children are confirmed ADHD. I am questioning about the third. They are all different the two that have been confirmed it was more focus on tasks on hand and things of that nature. This one he is very hyper active, hyper sensitive(touch and personality) What really confuses me is how to deal with it. I feel super guilty when it comes down to it. What if this is something I have done as a parent. Do they all have it? I know this, It is hereditary. I blame a lot of it on foods and what is served our food supply. A carrot may look like a carrot, smell like a carrot but our food nowadays compared to the food from when our grandparents were growing up are 2 completely different carrots.
Well I am off again. Soccer practice calls. Welcome to my crazy life do you want join me?

A little about myself
So I have decided to open up a little bit about myself. I am a married stay at home mom of 4. 5 if you include my husband.
I have always since my teen years been on some kind of diet. Only until I had children did my weight really balloon. Having children and working at a job where you sit on your bum most of the day. When you get home you do not always make the best decisions of what to feed everyone. The fact that 9 times out of 10 I did not eat till the kids were in bed. Bedtime for the kids was hit and miss, so most of the time I was eating something really bad, really late at night. After all that and working all day I was permanently stressed. Right before the birth of my 4th child I left my job of 10 years. Daycare expenses and everything else it just did not make any se...nse for me to work all week long to bring home $50 after gas and daycare alone.
After the birth of baby # 4, I decided I had had enough. I need to lose some weight I am not going to lived to 60 if I kept this up. My weight and progress and has been up and down, all around no real consistency. At the beginning of this year I some how found what would eventually change my life. I was not 100% sold on what she was selling but I just watched and listened to everyone that was conversing on her page. After a few months I just decided he I am going to try this. I started Skinny Fiber but did not take it consistently. I would lose a few pounds here and there if I remained consistent eating right, drinking plenty of water and taking Skinny Fiber. But then I would just stop. Life gets in the way for me very easily. Then I would start back up and stop again. Well I am in the middle of my own challenge and I am not posting anything yet for pictures. But yesterday I ran down the stairs to my basement and my pants fell almost all the way down! That is one way of telling!! I walk almost 3 miles a day, drink my water, drink some detoxing tea and I also drink a probiotic drink daily. I eat healthy, I am not really hungry and I take Skinny Fiber twice a day. So a year from now I know I will be a much healthier me. I will be glad I started when I did.

My one and only girlie
This girl right here has me wrapped right around her little finger. Keira and I are the only girls in this house full of testosterone. Keira is a very artistic little girl. If it has anything to do with the arts she is all over it. She played her first season of soccer and most likely will be her only season of soccer. She was more concerned with bugs flying around her the soccer ball flying by her. I asked her what she wants to do for an extracurricular. Her response, dance or gymnastics. She definitely wears her heart on her sleeve.
Her brothers think she is spoiled. But they all love each other immensely. This girl is my partner in crime.
Every night before she goes to bed I remind her of a few things.
1 How important it is to respect yourself
2 Boys will tell you anything
3 She is smart, beautiful and important
My first review: Sparkling Probiotic Drinks 2 thumbs up!!
I have ventured into the land of various probiotic beverages. I have tried a couple of bottled kombuchas and really did not like them. Then started reading about this particular beverage and brand and I was instantly intrigued! I have tried the lemon ginger, coconut and lemon cayenne. Lemon ginger and lemon cayenne are pretty close in being my favorite!!
This has a very unique taste. You see the flavor Lemon Cayenne. The cayenne is not overpowering. I like this because it gives me something else to drink besides lemon water and tea. I do not drink juice(too much sugar) and I do not drink milk because I am avoiding dairy.
When I was a young kid my great grandmother would makes a beverage called switchel. This is very similar in flavor. The history of switchel was considered a thirst quencher. When people were working out in the fields all day in the hot sun. You were brought a cup full of this to help your body replenish fluids lost from sweating. It had a taste like no other. I have recipe that I will share at the end of this post.
The difference between Kombucha and Kevita daily cleanse lemon cayenne is a different fermentation technique. Technically, I think Kevita contains probiotics/bacteria but not yeasts. Kombucha is made from a mushroom and does contain yeasts. Kombucha also usually has caffeine because it's made from a base of sweet tea while Kevita doesn't (some flavors do though).
The benefits of drinking Kevita:
Kevita Sparkling beverages are vegan, gluten-free, certified organic and non-GMO. If you have wanted a way to replace your morning yogurt addiction which is potentially contributing to mucus and an upset stomach, this could be it! Now you can lose the dairy, but still get in the healthy digestive bacteria (or gut flora) into your system naturally.
Before you think that this product is thick or some strange consistency, it’s not. It’s light and bubbly. The variation in flavors offers plenty of variety to keep your palate happy. Eight out of ten flavors offer a light sweetness as the result of added stevia rather than sugars (boasting only 1g of sugar per serving).
So if you are like me and you are avoiding dairy this is an excellent way to keep your gut healthy!!
80% of your immune system is in your gut. Healthy gut = Healthy Immune system.
Great Gram O'Keefes Switchel Makes 1-2 drinks
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
4 teaspoons sweetener (molasses, maple syrup, honey, sugar)
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 cup water
Combine all ingredients in a jar or glass. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to a day.
Shake or stir before serving. Taste and adjust sweetener, if desired. If using fresh ginger, strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.

Soccer Saturdays and the power of the "get along t shirt"
I have attempted to keep my kids busy. Why? Idle minds plus boredom equals crazy children who get into all kinds of trouble.
Cameron and Keira are the 2 who are closest in age. The are like best friends and their own worst enemies. Cameron played soccer last season and this was Keiras first season. Cameron is the soccer star and Keira is searching for fairies and butterflies. So Soccer consumes a lot of my time. Monday and Wednesday nights Cameron has practice. Keira has practice Tuesdays and Thursdays. Games are on Saturdays sometimes in different areas all together. Today dad was involved and took Cam to his game. I went the other direction with Keira. Keiras team won their first game today!! Mind you its the end of the season. It was a very joyous occasion. Camerons team won as well. We now have the rest of our afternoon to ourselves. I am off to buy a new pair of sneaks!! Very exciting!!
I do have to talk about something that happened a few days ago. It involves Cameron and Keira. Like I said they are the best of friends or they cats and dogs fighting like the cartoons from the old days in a ball of fur and dust rolling around on the floor. I have struggled with trying to find a way for it to stop. Time outs, go to your room and restrictions. Nothing worked. So I have seen this post on Pinterest, 2 kids in 1 shirt till they can get along. My husband comes home the other night right in the middle of one of those cats and dogs moments. He grabs each one by the hand and a light bulb goes off. I go and get a t shirt. Kids screaming and crying, husband asking me what I am thinking. I start to put the t shirt over the kids heads. They are flipping out mad now and not at each other, they are mad at me. I calmly tell them If you work with one another this will not hurt. Even though they are crying and carrying on I am telling them about how you are suppose to love one another you are brother and sister, you have the same blood pumping through your veins. Now Cameron is the known button pusher and Keira is a young girl who is starting to be a little moody once and awhile. So Cameron can get just about anyone going which is the cause of most of their disagreements. As they start to listen to what Dad and I are talking about. We tell them they will sit here together in this shirt for 2 minutes or until the can get along. So at this point they are sweating, tears and slobber on their faces. They are quiet and sitting back to back. We set the timer and their is silence. We watch them from the next room over and you can see it them working together and apologizing to each other. When the timer goes off we take the t shirt off and they hug and apologize to each other again. I wish I would of done this year ago. For 2 days they have been nothing but kind to one another. I keep the shirt hanging up in the bathroom as a reminder. I love my kids and I love it even more when they get along.
This may not work with everyone, but it sure has worked here.
Have a happy weekend and I will be posting some product reviews as I am venturing in to the advantages of probiotics. I have found a few things that are working wonders and some that do absolutely nothing!!
Be well!!

Meet my first born
My oldest son Mitchell is 15 and a sophomore in high school. He is involved with Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training or NJROTC. He has many abilities and is very intelligent when he puts his mind to it. He is freshly diagnosed ADHD which has made all the difference in his studies this year. I do not want to say that medication is always the way to go but for years we have struggled with Mitchell and his schooling. He would pass his classes just by the skin of his teeth and was highly disorganized. NO matter how I tried to help him organize or how we would study nothing really made the difference. Closing in on the end of his first semester he has all B's and 1 A. His room is no long in disarray and everything has its place. He is learning to be more social and is venturing into the land of teenage girls. Oh No what have I asked for?? Mitchell is my right hand man when Aaron is gone 97% of the day. Mitchell is turning into quite the young man. He is looking into going into either the Navy or the Marines like his Uncle Kevin. He is on the hunt for a part time job, he wants to get his first car. I love you Mitchell and your opportunities are endless!! I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always and as long as I am living my baby you will be. Love you Forever by Robert Munsch

Homemade Kid Friendly Christmas Ornaments
***FUN PROJECT FOR KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS!***
Put a piece of crayon in a clear Christmas bulb, use a blow dryer to melt the crayon while turning the bulb to distribute the color!!
This is a great idea for all those broken crayons at the bottom of your crayon box.
I have my kids make a new ornament every year. When they are older and have their first Christmas tree with their family they will have plenty of memories to share with their children and hopefully a tradition to start of their own.

Grain free Pumpkin Pancakes (Paleo)
My kids love pancakes every Sunday morning. I am trying to eliminate grains and dairy from my diet. So I have started to make treats that they love or expect and I change them to be healthy. Eliminating grains and dairy have helped my digestive system ALOT! I no longer deal with bloating issues, I have notice that my joints do not ache as much and I am sleeping better.
Grain free Pumpkin Pancakes
Ingredients
1/2 tsp Baking soda...
1/2 cup coconut flour
2 TBSP coconut milk
8 pastured eggs
2 TBSP Pumpkin Pie Spice
4 TBSP Canned Organic Pumpkin
Mix all ingredients together
Heat 1 tsp of coconut oil in pan
Add 1/4 cup pancake batter to the pan
Cook on 1 side for 2-3 minutes and flip
Repeat 2-3 minutes on other side
I topped mine with Grade B Real Maple Syrup. My daughter likes apple butter on hers and my son like raspberry jam on his. To stay in the paleo or grain free category. You want to stick to real ingredients nothing refined. Maple Syrup, Raw Honey or Agave Nectar.

Woo hoo down another pound & 3 more inches since last week. I've been faithfully taking Skinny Fiber for 60days now. It has helped me feel better, sleep better, strengthened my nails, lose weight and lots of inches, decreased my appetite & cravings and increased my metabolism. I try to make healthier food choices, drink 3-4 liters of water daily and I take my skinny fiber twice a day, everyday! I have lost 13.6 lbs and a total of 36.5 inches overall.
Meet Cara
Meet Cara
I'm down 34 lbs and 35 1/2 inches in 4 months! I'm down to size 16/18 jeans (those are a little baggy so sz 14 jeans here I come!!!) from a 22/24, XL top from a 3x, 42C from a 46D (the girls didn't get the memo to stay put when I started my weight loss journey...oh well, they make awesome bras these days haha!) Whoohoo!!! SO happy
In the before pic I was eating horribly. I drank diet soda ALL the time and ate whatever I wanted and I ate enough to satisfy a 250lb 6'4" man. I had no portion control at all. If it was in front of me I would eat it, even if I was FULL!The day I started Skinny Fiber I cut out all soda and only drink water, ice tea (no sugar), and sometimes have a Powerade Zero or some kind of sparkling flavored water. I started doing a 1500 cal... diet and tracking all my food with myfitnesspal app. I'm down to a 1370 cal diet now And I do cheat about twice a week and have that ice cream cone or cookie!! I do interval running at least 3 times a week a mile to two miles each time. On the days I work 12 hours I get on the elliptical (been forcing myself even when I'm dead tired) or I do Jillian Michaels Ripped In 30 dvd (mixture of cardio, abs, and weights). Jillian Michaels is no joke either....only on week 2 of 4 and it's TOUGH! I'll be on week two for awhile lol.
Skinny Fiber has helped me in sooo many ways! My self confidence has come up so much. I look back at myself now and wonder how in the hell I let myself be so unhappy and unhealthy for so long. Also, I was a smoker...I even smoked during my first month on Skinny Fiber. I finally decided to give that up starting month 2. I still get the urge at times but I enjoy being healthy too much to go back
I know you guys can do this and achieve great results! Motivation, determination, and support are very important to your success! Skinny Fiber is AMAZING and I'm not ever giving it up. It WILL help you lose the extra pounds and inches, just give it 90 days!

Sauteed Brussel Sprouts (Paleo)
Sautéed Brussel Sprouts
Ingredients
4 to 5 strips Bacon
Ingredients
4 to 5 strips Bacon
1-2 pounds Brussel Sprouts
1/8 to 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
In a skillet cook 4 or 5 strips of bacon until crispy. Remove bacon to paper towel to cool and set pan aside. DO NOT THROW OUT THE BACON GREASE in the pan. I use baby brussel sprouts in this recipe but you can use the bigger ones if you cut them in half. Wash the brussel sprouts and trim the outer leaves and bottom stem. I use a paring knife and it is real easy to do. I cut the larger ones in half to allow for more even cooking. While you are trimming the sprouts set a pot of water on to boil with a little salt in it. Once brussel sprouts are trimmed throw them into the water for 10 to 15 (depending on size) minutes until slightly tender. Remove from heat and drain. While they are draining heat the skillet with the bacon grease in it over medium-high heat and then add about 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes to grease. Stir pepper flakes into the bacon grease and then add the drained brussel sprouts to the skillet. Cook turning frequently for about 10 to 15 minutes until slightly browned and crispy adding salt and pepper to taste.
What happens on Brandywine Place
So today starts off just like any other day here. Kids running around not paying attention, me pulling my hair out shouting orders telling the crazies that they are going to miss the bus if they do not get their acts together. Lets rewind this so you "know" who we are.
I married the love of my life in June 24, 1997. Aaron and I had been together seriously for 2 years and had talked about marriage and talked about kids but we really were not sure if that was going to happen for us. We were in love with each other, we were each others best friend and we liked nearly almost the same things. So somewhere in there he proposed and I accepted. The hardest part was living together. I liked things a certain way and he liked them the other way. I got mad when he left the toilet seat up and he hated all the hair the came out when I would blow dry my hair. He would call them my secret pets! But we did it and we did it rather well. The one thing I can always say about us is that we were meant to be together. I am one of those people that believe in fate, destiny whatever you want to call it. He thinks we are all a bunch of animals. Over the years he has changed sides of the road. Aaron was going to a trade school in Wyoming. We were not sure if I was going to go with him or not.
Shortly after I turned 21 we found out that it was not the 2 of us anymore and there was going to be little person in our lives. So off to the Justice of the Peace we went. Signed our marriage certificate and a few days later on his parents front lawn with our families as witnesses we got married. So now I am married, pregnant and moving across the country to Wyoming. I craved oranges all the time that and green popsicles. All during the pregnancy I would picture what my baby would look like, brown hair, brown eyes with an olive complexion like Aaron. In January of 1998 we had our first son Mitchell red hair, blue eyes and fair like his mom. I was so happy to be a mom. I was not an overly cautious mom I was pretty laid back. I liked Wyoming, but I could not wait to get back to Georgia where it was warm and civilized. NOT windy like Wyoming. We moved back to Georgia after Aaron finished trade school for hot rods and auto finishing. We bought our first house and life was good. We talked about having more kids but I was to afraid of having to share my affections with more children. A few months into living in our new home. I found out I was pregnant! WHAT!! I was on birth control but it failed!! CRAP! It was obviously not meant to be because I suffered a miscarriage that landed me in the hospital for what seemed like forever, because the ding dongs had no one on call for an OBGYN they sent me by ambulance to the next town over where they had someone on call. I laid on a bed in the hallway of the emergency room for 3 hours till I was taken to the ultrasound room to determine I was having a miscarriage. Really?! I had no idea what was going on. After that I told Aaron no more I am no where near ready to have another child.
We were happy I found a job with big company and I worked my way up to management. Aaron worked for a big dealership doing bodywork on wrecked cars and Mitchell was in kindergarten. He was a very happy kid. Spoiled by us and spoiled by his grandparents. All he had to do was point. Lucky kid. Aaron wanted more kids I was content. Somewhere along the way I decided okay lets have another baby. That was all it took. One month later I was pregnant. It was a normal healthy pregnancy. I craved green apples and dill pickle slices. In November 2004 we had a little princess Keira. Our lives changed so much that day. Mitchell was smitten with his baby sister, we had our little girl. We had the "rich mans family". I went back to work and things were great. Shortly after Keira's first birthday we found out I was pregnant again! This was not in the books but we had 2 what's one more? September 2006 Cameron is born. It was just like my other pregnancies nothing out of the norm. I craved Hot wings! The hotter the better. Although with Cameron he was an emergency c section. The cord prolapsed and earned me a one way ride to the operating room. I was terrified Aaron was not there yet and did not want to do this alone. I was knocked out and when I woke up I was in some serious pain. Nurses pressing on my stomach with ZERO pain killers in my system! Whoever had the key for the meds cabinet was at lunch. Just my luck! I looked over and there was Aaron helping the nurses give Cameron his first bath. I finally had my brown eyed, brown hair, olive complexion baby boy. That was it,
no more right Aaron? Cameron was 3 potty trained sleeping in a big boy bed. I sold everything, the crib, car seats, high chairs, clothing anything baby related it was gone. Mind you I am still on the pill. Within a month of selling everything I just was not feeling right. Yep you guessed it..here comes number 4!! The roughest pregnancy of them all. High blood pressure was a pain in the butt. I was sure it was girl her name was Peyton Isabella. Nope he was a boy!! Our conversation went like this when I found out I was pregnant:
Me : "I am going to get my tubes tied after this baby."
Aaron: "Okay, better you than me."
March 2010 Logan was born via c section. He was rushed off to neonatal because his cry was not strong enough and he had fluid in his lungs. Red curly hair and he was a porker 9 lbs 6 oz. After a few hours he was brought to my room and I got to hold him. I was complete. Now what? Well 4 kids is very different from 1, very different from 2 and not much more different than 3. My life is full, my life is complete and I love all 4 of my children with all my heart and every inch of my life.
